This picture tells a painful but powerful story a story of resilience in the face of hardship.
Behind this torn school uniform is a child who still shows up to school every day, eager to learn despite the challenges of poverty.
This is Izobo Emmanuel, a pupil of Ofovwe Primary School, Oviri-Ogor, Ughelli North Local Government Area, Delta State, Nigeria.
Emmanuel has been attending school in this torn uniform, a clear sign of the hardship he faces—but also a strong reflection of his passion for education. One of our dedicated volunteers at the school, Mrs. Umkoro Patience, noticed his commitment to learning and brought his situation to our attention. Moved by compassion, Hosanna David Foundation decided to award Emmanuel a scholarship, starting from his current class, Basic 3.
At Hosanna David Foundation, we believe that every child deserves dignity, care, and a safe learning environment.
A school uniform may seem small, but to a child, it represents confidence, belonging, and hope.
This is why we remain committed to supporting vulnerable children through:
✔ Scholarships
✔ School uniforms
✔ Learning materials
✔ School fees and financial support
✔ Encouragement and mentorship
So that no child is forced to carry shame into the classroom.
Together, we can restore dignity.
Together, we can keep children in school.
Together, we can turn torn uniforms into renewed hope.
💙 Support our mission. Speak up for a child. Be the reason a child smiles again.
